Jim Brooks cofounded Terlingua Resources in April 2020. Mr. Brooks has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry. He has served in positions of increasing responsibilities for Anadarko Petroleum for 13 years, Chesapeake Energy for 2 years and Burlington Resources for 3 years. During those times, he focused on onshore unconventional play development in the Bakken, Marcellus, Haynesville, Powder River Basin, DJ Basin, Delaware Basin, along with various conventional plays in East Texas, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota and Algeria. Mr. Brooks holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering and a MBA with a focus in Energy with both degrees from Texas Tech University.
This cofounder has more than 16 years of land experience in the industry spanning multiple plays. Working independently for various small operators to majors then moving in-house with Anadarko overseeing day-to-day land operations and higher levels of land work.
